73 opel gt vinyl wrap on bare metal or epoxy primer
Hi I bought a car that had a rhino truck bed liner sprayed over the entire car body. I'm grinding away slowly but decided to try to use an aircraft stripper after trying a heat gun first to remove it. The body looks pretty good under what I've already removed. I'd like to get it all down to base metal then use an epoxy primer or something else to to make sure the wrap will bond properly to it. I was first thinking of trying to spray on a base coat with an electric spray gun but I'm worried it won't turn out very well. I'm wondering if I could wrap it in white then wrap it again in a translucent pink, (hopefully I could find a metallic pink.). Finally put black wrap for 2 racing stripes, spoiler, and try to wrap the wheels. If you haven't guessed it, I have no idea what I'm doing. Will this work and look proper? Should I try using a white primer and then use the light pink over top of that so the other no will appear lighter instead of wrapping it twice? Should I stick with an electric turbine or airless spray paint gun and forget about trying to wrap it? Sorry a lot of questions but it's taking forever to get the stupid truck bed liner off the body and it's rusting already even though I applied a rust converter that says it will seal it even if there is no rust there. I really want this to be as good as possible but being honest, I can't afford to pay 4000 for someone to primer, paint, and clear coat the car. This will be my final car I will drive so I chose to get the one I've dreamed of and rebuild it with power everything, widebody kit, and better engine. I want to make it look and perform as good as she deserves. Yes I'm a woman which is why I want a little pink in it. I figured when it passes to the next person, the pink could be removed if it will be a guys baby after me. -

Cybertuck Windshield Problems
Has anyone had a bad reaction on a Cybertruck windshield after it's been tinted. My friend's shop tinted one with XR Plus and it bubbles appeared, possibly in the glass or laminate sheet in the glass if it has one, after being out in the sun on a 100 degree plus day that we had here about 4 days in a row. Another one he did developed bubbles even before the customer picked up the truck with it in his install bay over the weekend. His customer's were understanding and he removed the film so they can take it back to Tesla. One of them seemed to clear up but not perfect, after the film was removed for a few days. Any thoughts? -

Johnson Window Films - Palisade. Anyone have experience with this film?
What is your opinion on the fact they are now adding a "IR Coating" to factory glass on the Toyota and Lexus vehicles? Does that clear iR coating really do anything or is that just another gimmick? -

Distilled vs Deionized vs tap water?
Yeah I ordered some of the spider spit, original and ultra tint slime. Will report back with results. Thanks for your responses, they were very helpful! -

Distilled vs Deionized vs tap water?
It would be a good idea to get another keg just for PPF slip solution. I have heard really good things about SpiderSpit. The TintSlime will stay good in the tank for a very long time. I've gone for over a week and come back in and just started working again with no issues. I pay about $1.20 to $1.50 a gallon depending on where I get it. Sometimes can find it for $1.00 My ration is 25ml./gal +/- a mil or two depending on current temps and humidity levels. But you will have to figure out what works best for you thru trial and error. It may slip to much or not enough the first couple of trials, but you should be able to get it right rather quickly. -

Distilled vs Deionized vs tap water?
Awesome. I have a tru spray tank that I use and mix 2 gallons at a time as well. From what I’ve read, the tint slime doesn’t break down like soap in the keg correct? So I shouldn’t have to drain the keg daily and can just run it until empty? I think if that’s the case, I’ll get another keg setup so I can just have one for PPF and one for tint so I don’t need to keep re mixing solutions every day 🤔 How much does that much distilled water run you? And what does your ratio look like with that tintslime ultra? -

Distilled vs Deionized vs tap water?
Distillation uses boiling water and steam accumulation to create an almost pure water. Boiling and collecting steam removes all solid material and most every other chemical or substance that could be in the water. i.e.= lime, calcium, fluorides, salt deposits, etc. Deionized or Di water is treated and filtered to remove chemicals and solids. This process does not remove dissolved solids and salt minerals as well as distillation. -

I get my water by the gallon jugs at a time. 16 to 20 at a time. I use an electric sprayer set-up and mix at 2 gallons at a time. I use TintSlime Ultra year round. I don't like changing back and forth, summer to winter, so I just use less slip solution in the winter than I do in the summer. -

What is the difference between distillation and deionization?
