Most of the replies from my peers have been professional. I chose not to be because of key words in the original post. I had a lot of fun. So thanks for that Karen! If you wanna stick around and beat a dead horse I could use the entertainment. We could start calling each other names? @ChipDiamond -

Yep, that's the post. Point out on the doll where I defend the shop and your feelings got hurt. After you finish, try again at comprehension 101 to infer, from context, the meaning of the first line of my post about production. I'll give you a hint since you're a little slow and pissy. A good shop will get busy after gaining a good reputation. They will need more installers. The new installers they bring on are usually not as sharp as the team that garnered their notoriety. Sales increases and the top installers are on the bigger ticket jobs and the junior installers are put into the fire to sink or swim and keep up with the sales schedule. Let's say the installer failed, the sales team is now at bat to send the car back into the bay or out on the lot for delivery. He is the second line of quality control. If the sales team fails the you are up to bat for qc. If they fail often enough the reputation will diminish and volume won't be a problem any longer. The rest of my post isn't really for you as you're not the only person reading this. It's a warning and guidance for other installers on what to expect and how to handle the Euro crowd. Thanks for making it about yourself and reinforcing my posit of general stereotypes as related prior. Installers, take note. This is run of the mill stuff here. -

VHB tape will remove the inside scratch coat right ?
I don't know if different brands hardcoat is -harder- than others. Back when I had 3M, in at least 2 cars, I've had the fronts redone just due to scratches. Hence, I'm somewhat mindful about the interiors hardhat as such -

Your entire post, is saying I am a difficult customer, and if they accommodate they have a customer for life. Not one time did you mention the half assed work and the shop/forum taking accountability for the shitty install. Point out the exact section where you hold them accountable. I see the section you calling me “difficult” when in fact I’m not difficult. Someone pointing out shitty work isn’t difficult. That person is called intelligent. Once again notice, not a mention or admission of shitty work after I post a pic of a 3” scratch from the installers. Amazing. It’s actually amazing lol. -

Pointing out this, on a $300 windshield, is a picky customer? It’s my only question. Please confirm this is acceptable work for a $300 windshield. -

Is this an appropriate install of windshield tint? My only question. If it’s not, why doesn’t this forum of installers simply say, this is a half assed install? Why isn’t there accountability, but it’s instead, oh we have a homicide hunter client gee whiz I wish he would just don’t mind the 3” gash on this $300 windshield tint and just be happy I did him this favor in the first place? It’s my only question. Why is there no accountability? When will the ship realize shotty work will result in them losing clients? The irony is, 2 weeks before doing this install, the owner set a mass email saying work is slow, I can offer xyz discounts, please send me referrals. And what do you know. 2 weeks later when I sent my cars in, look at the quality of work done. Ironic eh? -

I posted a picture of a 3” scratch on the windshield i posted a picture of dust/something that you can actually feel from the inside with your nail so it’s an obvious issue. The techs who did the installs and fixes all admitted this is not acceptable, while also explaining it would be impossible to have a completely dust free environment which makes sense but DOESNT excuse the specific flaws in my cars. Why do you think it is, installers on this forum can’t admit, yes, it’s half assed work, yes we can clearly see the 3” scratch in the picture, etc? Why is it, ahhhhh must be a Karen, ahhhhh must be a Prada bag, ahhhh. Why isn’t it, someone paid for an expensive tier install, the install isn’t expected to be perfect, but the install performed is DEFINITELY SUBPAR WORK. Why do you think this is? It’s my only question.
