Is Suntek really that bad compared to Llumar?

I have two installers to choose from with good reputation. One is offering Llumar IRX and the other Suntek CIR for the same price.

 

All I read online about Suntek is that it scratches super easy, has a blue tint, and has worse clarity than the Llumar. The suntek guy says he has been installing it for 15 years and has had no issues with it.

 

What is your thoughts about Suntek CIR vs Llumar IRX?

Eastman owns both Suntek & Llumar. Suntek fixed the scratching issue years ago. Even before I never had much problems with scratching. Oh yeah, they made liner pull easier easier on their films. The shrinking is the best there is.

Does the Suntek CiR have a noticable blue tint to it?

Depending on angle of the sun and vehicle glass type, you may see a slight blue hue, but not too noticeable. I have the 15% on my vehicle and I hardly notice it.

I went a looked at some today, and the lighter you get the more blue it gets. The 50% almost looks like a straight blue tint.

@pbalentine have you tried shrinking any Global HP or Ceramic? That stuff melts into place like hot butter.

I have used Global HP & QDP.  Both excellent films. They shrink just as good. Probably can handle more heat without burning.
