Black Pearl Ir fading clear.??

Recommended Posts

I have heard that the madico black pearl Ir is fading out fast. Does anyone know about this.

This film is new and not sure to carry it until this is proven. I have not personally seen this, but someone

that has used it informed me of this. I understand that the first runs of film can have problems.

We had a lot of issues with the Black pearl before the BPC launched. It was fading super fast. Even on a meter the vlt on one in particular dropped from 18% to 41 or 43%. Can’t remember exactly.  Madico wouldn’t do anything about it. Even under warranty.... dropped the manny from there

That sucks, we have only used some of the Wincos.  It is odd that none of their films are listed as color stable on the website...I was expecting atleast Wincos and Charcool would be have it listed.  Another oddity is there is zero warranty information I could find on their website.  Only thing mentioned "warranty" was on their terms and conditions page which was more geared to the consumer.

I never had an issue with the charcool on Windshields.  But the black pearl became very very problematic in the last few months we used it.  The wincos never gave issues.

I think sungard is the worse film Ive tried out.  Didnt even shrink.

Funny thing about that is.  15 years ago when sun Gard was actually Sun Gard.  I used more of the shadow line than any film since.  It was flawless. My dad still has a truck I tinted 15 years ago with shadow 38. And it looks like it was done last week!   But when they went under and then resurfaced under madico. All sun gard lines went downhill

I’ve never used the black pearl line, but I’ve put on a lot of Madico film. (18 yrs worth) I  can tel you that I have vehicles in my family, done with charcoal/charcool, that still look like new installs. I redid some front doors a couple weeks ago, (to pass inspection) and the film still matched back doors! Thing was originally tinted in 2005.

Oh god. Wincos. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Is the film still .5 mil and the liner 2mil? Does it still leave glue smudges when you apply the smallest amount of heat? Does it still leave stress marks if you have to shift a back window? I dealt with that film for about a year. And couldn’t stand it.

I always liked the fact it was thinner, you can shrink the hell out of it. But, I used to get what you’re calling stress marks. I always called It tearing the glue. I just had to change up the slip a bit and it stopped.
