Repairing scratched dot matrix ?

Recommended Posts

So I went and created a huge problem for myself by severely scratching the dot matrix on the back glass of a 2017 Mustang. I assumed all dot matrix and area surrounding was baked on ceramic but this stuff scratched off like it was spray paint .... anyone have any experience with fixing/patching/painting  the matrix area and the black area beyond ?

Averages between 20-40 bucks, pending where you get it...Amazon, glass company ect.

been using it for years on yachts, boats and back windshield. Only thing I use for the fritt on rear windshield. Permanent and customers appreciate not seeing all the silver haze at the top.

Do you use it just on the frit on top or all 4 sides?

I use it only on top when there is a wide band where the dots are so close together that the film can’t stick to the glass between them and cause a silver look from the outside.

2 dr accord, mustang, older Camaro, Baretta, fords ect.
