Plotting a pattern out of material and it winds up wrong. That cost money and wastes the time you could have spent getting it right the first time.

So so which is better?

the skill you know you have to get it right, or the trust in some computer and someone else's pattern that might not be right, that you have to pay for.

Just because you hand cut doesn't mean it's right the first time either. Can't tell you how many pieces of film I trashed because my knife caught the top edge and had to start over. You're set in those ways though so carry on.

That pays for itself if you only squeeze in a couple xtra jobs in the whole month. Once you get going well, you will be doing xtra jobs everyday. Ps, I cuss the hell out of them ( under my breath) when I get a car full of patterns that suck and your thinking how did this even get digitized!
