I'd recommend a plotter that can deal with at least  60" film

Until there is a plotterdude.com check out signs101 where there are TONS of plotter users. If you want to expand your business, plotters and printers are the way to go.

Some mannys even make printer/plotters

More users = better info

I bought a graphtec fc8000-130 for 2500 used. So far customer service is soso. I had the best cust service from film design to help me get it set up printing film patterns.

I didn't like Tint Tek 20/20. Their patterns are good, and I can't remember if they had many windscreen patterns, but I found the shadowbands/sun visors were often incorrect. Wasted a lot of film. I do many upper/lower shadowbands so I absolutely have to have windscreen patterns. I hate cutting bands by hand, and find the droopy factory edge bands unappealing.

I was always fighting with their third party production software; not their fault as they have no control over it. It was frustrating having to play with the production settings every single cut. You couldn't save settings. For example, if I remember correctly, cutting when the machine pushed the film out. I had to deselect that option every single cut I made.

I have a graphtec fc8000-130 I bought used from a sign shop for 2500 with stand. I have film design and had a 2015 civic, the rear 1/4 windows were off by a 1/4 of a inch in the program. I have noticed that some cars the lines are not true with the glass.
