What's happening here?

I think I asked this before but what's going on with this window? I have a few more in the house that have the same thing going on that have film on them. This window however does not have film and has never. I wonder if my home owners 2-10 warranty would cover this

Something on the inside of the DP glass? Can you tell what surface it's on?

It appears to be in between the panes on the exterior one.

If it on the film side it could be from ammonia breaking down the hard coat

Possibilities =

 

1) Your glass got ink and the pics belong in another thread.

2) Seal failure leading to moisture intrusion, which dries to leave behind a mosaic of different patterns.

3) If lowE or Hi-perf lowE, could be coating breakdown.

Are there screens close to the glass?

 

Looks like screens have been rubbing against the surface of the glass.

Its only on the top portion and it has no screen. Matter a fact the other two are on the top portion, which also have no screens.

Is there a coating from the glass manufacturer? Could it be the coated glass is "inside out"

 

The marks look similar to when you get fingerprints on the coatings on the lens of a camera
