Joetint Posted March 2, 2016 Report Posted March 2, 2016 So I tinted my truck the other day, and messed up on one of the windows and decided to pull it off the next day. Less then 12 hours later, I pull it off, and holy cow, it literally left all the glue behind. I've pulled off tint that purple and 20 years old that left less behind. I talked to express and they said that its Normal, but I've never had that much left behind
jh812 Posted March 2, 2016 Report Posted March 2, 2016 Yep. Global and classic black adhesive are very aggressive. I just did a truck all around. First window I did I came back to it and had to redo it. This was maybe an hour and a half later. It left glue behind. Best bet is to invest in a steamer. Just a little heat to it and it will make worlds difference.
flat rock stan Posted March 2, 2016 Report Posted March 2, 2016 Steamer will make all the differance. I like the fast adhesive
BM-TINT Posted March 2, 2016 Report Posted March 2, 2016 Yeah they do have an very aggressive adhisive. Sucks to remove if you don't have the right tools, read; steamer. and like Stan, I like the fast adhesive
Booms Posted March 2, 2016 Report Posted March 2, 2016 I like the fast adhesive +1 Tack it down, and get the hell out of dodge.....
jh812 Posted March 2, 2016 Report Posted March 2, 2016 Plus side to it most of the time the film is already curing by the time the customer picks it up. That way I can explain the process and don't have to worry about them calling and saying the tint is bubbling up.

pbalentine Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 I use the classic black. On rare occasions Ive removed it with a steamer and it has never left glue behind. This is one of the reasons i love this film. It has a clean remove adhesive. Talking about glue left behind...aegis is the worst!!! All of it stays behind and it smells like shiat. One thing ive noticed with classic black and some other films is that it will leave adhesive behind if you steam too much. I go real fast when removing it with the steamer.
WearTheFoxHat Posted March 3, 2016 Report Posted March 3, 2016 avoid all that by doing a good job :yeah :lol
