Hello

I need some help, I am looking to have the front of my house tinted.  I have a lot of large front windows and the sun is pretty strong in the morning.  I am looking at two different tint types.

Enerlogic 35

and

Dual Reflective Series V28 SR PS8.

How are these two films?  And would you recommend any other films as I am looking for heat rejection as well as privacy.

Thanks for your comments and help

V28 is good. Enerlogic is very good but might not be needed.

The V28 ps8 is an 8 mil safety film. Rep may have left that cause he ran out of standard V28 samples.

What state are you in and what way does the glass face?

If you do not live above the southern border of Tennessee (as drawn out both ways across the US), then V28 or LLumar DR 35 will do the trick to reduce. You must strike a balance between glare control and feeling as though its cloudy on a sunny day. If okay with the latter, consider V18.

If above the line across the US, nothing can beat the two way performance of Enerlogic 35. I have this film on two bedroom windows facing SE and love its characteristics. Plus the xat doesn't sleep in the window anymore due to much lees solar heat getting in.

I'm guessing East since the OP has intense morning sun.

Hi,

Having bright, naturally lit rooms are always good for health provided they are not too strong. According to my limited knowledge there are medium, dark, very dark, clear and frosted window tinting films. It would reduce heat, protect your furnishings, protect your privacy and reduce glare. Renovation under the auspices of experts in this field would be an asset. I once took the help of Canglow windows and doors edmonton for window solutions. These windows and doors manufacturers can help you find the appropriate film depending on your priorities. Keep in mind the extreme climate in our part of the world. I think medium would be fine for living rooms while dark for bedroom, home theatres and such. If you are planning of new one do consider stylish picture windows which meets all your demands without curbing required sun inside. Anyway customize according to your needs and make the right choices. Best of luck. :hat

The film will only give you privacy during the daytime.  Not at night when lights are on inside.

Enerlogic will be expensive and give you the benefit of retaining some interior heat during winter - but you may not need that.  The less expensive V28 and less expensive films from other manufacturers could be fine for your needs of heat rejection and daytime privacy.
