Do you use a Material Optimizing software? Which one?

Recommended Posts

In the past, we tried MOS (Material Optimizing Software) to figure out what best ways to cut film to many different sized windows. You would first input the width size of the roll(s), then input all of your glass sizes, then the software would figure out all of your best cuts and you could then print out the puzzle for maximum material optimization. It worked well on simple jobs, but got a bit glitchy on other larger ones. Does anyone here use such a program or a quick program to estimate linear footage based on large quantity inputs?

thanks
