Suntek film creasing

Recommended Posts

So before I go and switch films I just want to make sure it is the film and not me or my technique. I am getting small creases in my Suntek HP on my side windows. These creases usually show up in the middle of the window or alot of the times I will get a line across the entire length of the window where I pull off the bottom of the liner(This line usually seems to go completely away on its own). This is becoming very aggravating and expensive. These creases are not coming from fingers I usually heat shrink the sides and I know what those look like. I was thinking of switching to EWF classic charcoal,. Any opinnions on this?

Well first....I never had any problems with creases, but scratching YES....They had supposedly fixed this but maybe not completely or it is one of the old rolls.....

But about the creases, these are not creases at all.....I'm not sure of the real names of this but I have heard them called stress marks and/or pinches. It happens when you pull the liner to a certain and stop like when people tuck film or reverse roll. and when you pull the rest of the liner off it is leaving that mark in the adh. Thats the best answer I can give cause I have only seen it a couple of times...But if it is going away that is good. But still a headache.

Ok 3rd. If you are tired of Suntek switch if not try Carbon and/or CXP. But if you want to switch Express Window Films ( EWF ) all there films are great. Howard has it set up kinda like Llumar Good/Better/Best But he has multiple Choices for all of them. So if your Customers want the Best but don't like the Color of one there is another choice. Lots of Tinters have switched to Express without looking back. To start out order some True Black or Classic Black/Charcoal They come in NR and HP so if someone wants a film without Interference you can still offer it to them.

But Howard is a great guy. You will get some of the best customer service from him. His films are tested and he can tell you the down low of how long it will hold up and not some BS. Order some Film try it out on a couple of cars and see what you like...Also get a sample Booklet and go from there.

Hope this helps you......

Yeah they are not your usuall creases from fingers sounds exactly like what you are talking about. However they are old rolls of film and I have tried the carbon and still the same results. I used ewf before never had any problems with it but wanted to switch to Suntek because I thought they where a higher end film :lol. Customer service is number one with me so I think I will give EWF a shot and this time speak with Howard, before I just orderedd offf the 800#. Thanks guys for all your help

I found the Suntek marked like you described, but I was able to get them out with a bit of extra hard carding. It's annoying as other films I use don't need any extra work. Called the rep and he said I must be having a bad day !
