Hi everyone I'm jose and I'm new to the forum and imstarting my new window tinting business

I've been having trouble with the rear windows and been getting wrinkles and creases like crazy =(

I usually get 3/4 of the rear crease free but the last quarter always gets me . I always get these weird tree like fingers that span out left and right when I try shrinking the film ..can anyone help me or at least point me in the right direction or link that can help thanks=)

Split that tree in half so there is less tension.

Not to be mean but its not a business or hopefully people aren't paying you if you cant do a back glass yet...But to be fair...I was there one time too....and it takes practice...Divided and Conquer as STAN says with bigger fingers....Are you dry shrinking?? if not you should...Use soap also seems to be the best for most back windows...Ill post another video that will help you also...

I thought shrinking the sides of a window was a big NO NO???

Yeah thats the only thing I dont agree with in that video!!! To each is own...I have spoke with that guy for about a hour on the phone one day and he has been tinting for a long time....So if it works for him :beer but yeah I was like :dunno when I saw that...:hmmm

Thanks everyone for the replys, at the time I was wet shrinking and I did a little more research and took my time practicing on some of my own cars and I kinda got it down

The other day I had my 1st customer with a mazda6 and everything came out well just that the rear glass gave me a big headache when the bottom corners kept creasing on me =/ finally got it down after my 4th try but I got it heh

Another question .... when I come to install the tint on some door windows ,I still tend to get some small fingers at the bottom after ive molded thru the outside =( ...I find it easier to just line up the outer edge of the tint from the roll to the bottom door seal to avoid cutting ...could that be why I still get fingers after shrinking ? I do exactly like matt does on his "how to " video on youtube (tintstuff) so.idk where im going wrong there
