watchdaride
Gone through my 2nd recession using llumar and have seen shops come and go . We were down to 4 of us in a 5 mile radius and this year it is back up to about 10 . Out of those 10 I am the only one selling a brand name film (llumar) and the rest are doing cars for $79-99 a car using premium tech and no name film from korea . there is a film some guy is distributing in town for a 40" X100" for $100 . But I am holding my ground on my prices and refuse to offer a cheap film . The funny thing is most of them only take cash and use a cell phone . So are any of them registred with the govt while I am paying my taxes . I guess thats what they call Miami style tinting

Guest VaTinterPMan
Wow man I would really hate to be you...I'm sorry for your trouble I truly am..But like someone else said..Stick to your standards and don't give in. They will come and go...And when that film turns purple or starts to fade in the next year or so they will be coming to you for a R&R... And yes they are probably not paying taxes...Sucks...The person selling the film down there is prolly the ATC dude cause " Correct me if im wrong " But thats where he is located.... Fiveofeen
Go high end, there is business for it. Let them take the bottom feeders. Just make sure your shop looks 10x better, uniforms, displays, professionalism. They will be doing you a favor taking the cheap asses out of your showroom while you get the handle the high end clientele.
