McCoyH
I cant imagine walmart or mcdonalds is ok with you setting up a tent and tinting in their parking lot... were thinking about setting up the mobile car port for shade and going to the capitol a couple days a week.... 808 TINT
Walmart might be a good place to do this if they let you. Also try go to swap meets and offer your services. Try to push front sides that dont have tint so that way you can get more done. Thats what I did and most customers only had time for front sides. coast2coasttinting
tinting in a tent is not the greatest idea. I have before in the past. It only works on clear calm days. I would have other shops selling work for me and giving me a space to work from. But I am a tint only shop. Yours is different.
808 TINT
You really dont think businesses would mind? At Walmart there is alot of things going on outside like booths that people sell Crispy Cream Donuts, Car Washes etc.
coast2coasttinting
it was like that in canada when I went to a wal mart. Selling rug to t shirts. Even saw a guy setup doing windsheild repair.
lifetimetint
I think you have to get permission first, its private property. Some people pay the owners to use the parking lot. But some mobile guys go to dealer or shops with garage already set up for them. They call you and then you come.

tintshopky
I'm not mobile now but I started that way and loved it. I found the best market and covenience for everyone was at another shop. I had 2 car stereo shops that let me hang a banner out front and they scheduled appointments and dealt with the customers for a profit share. Still using one of them actually. Even though I have a shop it fills in my slow days. I also worked car dealerships like crazy. I found that if you show up regularly and pass out business cards to sales and service staff the phone starts ringing. You can have a scheduled day every week or month that you come to that lot and they will have what they need done waiting for you. New car stores are a big plus because there are a lot of front two matchups and windshield strips and most of the installations were on brand new cars. No dirt. Less hassle. Body shops will love your mobile service. Make sure you hit every one of them you can find. As well as auto glass shops. With all those options you should never have to tint out of a tent. Residences with garages are ok but usually don't work out to be a comfortable situation. Like said before, furniture... And for some reason people can mistake a barn with a dirt floor as a garage and perfect tinting environment.
