Specks on rear window

Recommended Posts

What would you say the normal is? Have a bmw with 12 dust speck in the rear window come back. I don't mind redoing it, but dont want to damage any amp or anything back there. I have been misting the back windows cause of amp and electrics on newer cars. Is 12 speck passable or not? I get a cleaner job if I flush down the rear windows. To flush or to mist that is the question. I paid a $$$$ for an amp already. Checking every single car for amp is not something I want to do. But if theres an amp there I know of, I would cover it up.

If the custy brings it back, then it's not acceptable. Check the trunk for the amp. Cover the rear deck up to the glass with chamois, like "the absorber", to catch the water and Squeegee out with a micro fiber over your blue max. I also tape the pillar panels on those to keep the fuzz from them in check.

It goes without saying, if it has an amp or computer in the trunk, cover them with towels. I once had to buy a computer for a brand new 7 series and I'll never do that again :dwiwd

12 very small specks is way acceptable. Now, if any of them are relatively large it might warrant redoing but the risk involved with damaging the glass or the amp just for 12 very small specks is not worth it. I'd tell him that's as good as it gets.

Know your audience . 20 specks per window for a gmc 3 piece truck from a farmer is perfect work and will pay with you with a smile.

A BMW owner with 1 speck might be appauled at your shotty workmanship
