Recommended Posts

Do you guys own this exact ladder? Or one like it? Seems like a really good deal, but it's at walmart so that kinda sketches me out. lol... dont want to be 17' in the air on a walmart ladder....

Its a Little Giant copy cat replica deal. Be sure the rating of the ladder is rated correctly for any construction sites you go on. Some job sites will not allow anything rated II or lower.

In the description it says its rated 1A which is good.

Keep in mind that 17' ladder is not when it's in the "A" frame.... it's when it is flat opened all the way. (Which is not the ideal position for FG jobs)

That being said... what I've done is purchase these 'generic' ladders in the smaller sizes... and then I got a real Little Giant for my big ladder. (The knock-offs don't tend to have the real big ladders)

That way you aren't spending a ton on the smaller ladders... making the $$$ spent on the big ladder not seem too bad. IMO.

Very true roach. Haven't encountered a need for a full 17' or larger ladder just yet (I'm sure we will when we start window cleaning soon) but I figured this ladder would be good for FG and maybe even for cutting out tint on the outside of a large SUV or 15 pass van or RV... who knows.

For that price it's def. a good deal. The more FG work you do, the more it helps to have different ladders. :) At least in my case... being solo... I'd rather not haul my 17' LG if my 12' will do. Just makes it easier.

Having the right tool for the job makes all the difference! :thumb

I will chime in on this ladder.....I had one and sold it. When I had it I also had a Werner MT-13. While smaller it was my ladder of choice. I bought the MT-26 ladder and sold the Cosco one quickly. I bought another MT-13 though when they were on sale for $69. I have used the Little Giants a couple times and like my Werner as well if not better than the LG.

I would say grab a Werner, or even a Little Giant for the little bit more. You won't be sorry.....
