Guest lostxsoul
I relocated to Austin a few months back and had trouble finding a good paying job in the Automotive Industry as an Entry Level Mechanic, so I got back into tinting cars. I worked for a couple companies here in Austin and was laid off by my most recent company. Every tinter I've ever worked for always said, 1. I can tint and 2. I do clean work. I'm not the fastest tinter in the world but I know I will only get faster. I'm slow at hand cutting, plain and simple and I respect all of you guys out there that can hand cut cars. I was trained on a plotter and that's where I can do my fastest work although I'm not opposed to getting more experience with hand cutting. If there's anyone in the Austin area that has any work for a RELIABLE tinter who has the ability to learn Paint Protection, send me a PM please. I was commuting to work in Houston for over a month before being laid off so I am a dedicated employee. I love working around cars and have an aptitude for working with my hands. I was learning the PPF installations before being laid off but I know I want to learn more in that area while getting faster tinting cars. I have experience in flat glass as well. The first company I worked for here put me on flat glass to give me the experience when their main automotive tinter came back. I enjoyed it but they didn't pay anywhere near the industry standard here so I moved on. Link to comment
