I found it in 09 but didn't join til 10. Had heard about it from another tinter who asked if I was part of the tintdude forum....had no idea what he was talking about. But when I started doing auto I was doing some research and obviously came across this place. So much information I was hooked. Without a doubt the best resource I've found and a good bunch of people from all walks. No reason for me to look any further.

It started when Shay and I bought a WebTV. There was a free site thing that came with it, "tintman" was already taken, so I signed up "tintdude", and put together a page that invited people to email me if they had questions about tinting.

Some of the questions were asked very often, so I put up pages for those answers and it started growing from there. I got very good search engine positions (it was super easy back then) and started getting a lot of traffic. So I registered a domain in oct 99.

Used several forum sites until transitioning to one on the domain in 03.
