Jljoseluis
When I think about it sounds like there is no gap on the edge, what I always do is leave about 3 mil of gap but I don't know if that is microedge.
Tint Eastwood
Micro edge.....I believe is little to no gap at top edge achieved by installing the film up to but not over the edge. If the top is trimmed later this would be called shaving/filing. Anything bigger than a 1/8", I wouldn't consider a micro edge. I could be totally wrong and someone will be along shortly to point out where.
Tint Eastwood
and why the hell did you post this in Horror Stories?
coast2coasttinting
I micro edge all my doors. This means leaving less then 1/16th of an inch gap at the top of the window or less. I try to make my gaps more like 1/32nd of an inch.
WearTheFoxHat
Gaps are for girls. Learn to shave.
coast2coasttinting
no way I am shaving my doors. Leaving no gap on door glasses does void any sort of manny's warranty. And after 8 to 10 year the film will start to seperate along the shaved edge.
Tint Eastwood
I only shave frameless. Maybe a roll up here or there if my cut went a little wild.
