Guest musicmankeb
So I've had problems with the glass scratching on the outside because the previous owner lived near the beach and had sand in the felt. So I was driving the other day and noticed when I looked out my driver side window that things were blurry. I compared this to my passenger window and the passenger side seems fine. I thought it was my glass because it's a little scratched on the outside so I spread some soap on the outside of the window and along the felt and rubbed my fingers along the felt to clean it and sprayed water down through the felt with the window down. I dryed my window and sat back inside and still noticed the same problem still. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the tint is starting to do like an orange peel pattern and make it hard to see out of the window clearly. Has anyone experienced this? The film is from the marathon series - 20%. I also still have the roll # as well. I've had the film on for about 2 years and purchased it around that time too. coast2coasttinting
I have been installing that same film for over 2 years with no issue's. Could just be a bad piece of film but I would think the whole job would look this way. or atleast the whole side would be turning the same way. Since it is just the 1 window it might be in the glass itself. Is the door glass laminate by any chance?
Guest musicmankeb
I don't think so, it's a 2005 mazda tribute. It's just that one window which is wierd. I have not sprayed any cleaners on or changed anything so I'm not sure why it's shown up now all of a sudden. The only thing I can think of is that it's the side that gets the most sun. The driver side rear door window was tinted from the factory and then I put 10% on but I did that maybe a year ago and that was a different line of film. So the only thing I can compare it to is the passenger side front. To give you an idea of my setup. I have 20% JWF Marathon on the two front windows and were done 2 years ago. Everything else has factory tint on it plus 10% JWF Greystone and was done 1 year ago.
coast2coasttinting
it could be that the window does get more sunlight then the passenger side window. Did you install the film yourself?
