Groupon again

Recommended Posts

Was reading yahoo finance about groupon stock and them reporting today and remembered a customer coming in the other day asking if I would match the groupon price. They have been calling me for weeks with ridiculous suggestions on what I could offer. hahaha

Turns out I got the job for my price....................... wish I could get the "regular" prices this company says they charge.

Well, that group on ad stan posted works, because they artificially inflated the retail price to make people feel like they were getting a good deal. I would never join group on but your gotta hand it to them. Business that arent doing very well join, group on makes money, while helping the business they are "helping" go out of business faster. Its a brilliant business plan, that only chumps will use to try and make more money, in which they are actually losing money in probably most cases.

I like the one review they had posted for the company Stan put up. "Our 12 year old Subaru has not been this clean since it was new". I think I'd be seeing tons of old cars and beaters if I did that.

I can see that system work for the food industry but not for ours. :twocents

I see a lot of we would never tint for this or that. Let me state I am guilty of this very thing myself. I turn down work all the time on price. I have 2 other tinters in my shop so it may be different than if I were solo. But I have times I think of just taking every thing that walks on the door(or phone). Better than having a guy stand around for a appt time slot. Then I might take out some of the ones that low ball right out of the gate. Look at the most profitable company's on the U.S. they sell on price point. Not saying quote low but take work from those that do. But my pride always hold me back from doing it. Good or bad? I'm not sure sometimes.
