Want advice on which Huper Ceramic film to choose.

I will be installing Huper Ceramic film for my house.

Car porch roof - entire roof is made of glass.

Sliding doors or about 4 metres next to living room

Bedrooms Windows, about 3 metres, beds will be placed next to the windows

I'm in the tropics, mid noon tempreture is about 36 degree and above.

I am given a choice of

Huper Ceramic 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70

My concern is the bedrooms.

Ideally, I want the film which will lower my indoor tempreature the most. But I read about Ceramic or darker tint absorbing heat.

My beds will be placed next to the Bedroom windows within 1 metre. I am concerned if the windows will be radiating heat.

Which number film would you advise?

Between VKool, Huper Optik & 3M, I am thinking of getting HO. Please also correct me if I made the wrong decision.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Filmhandler, regarding dual pane windows, are you referring to windows with double layers of glass?

My windows are all single layer.

TintJunkie, may I know why you recommend metalized film for car porch?

Thank you!

if you have dual pane windows then ceramic is a bad choice.

I beg to differ... we have millions of sq ft of ceramic on IGU's. We'd have been out of business 10 yrs ago if it was a bad choice.

x2 to my reply above...

Rob, You are a pretty bright guy. What is the most common factor in glass breakage? Assuming there are no flaws in the unit. This guy has SP glass, so iI would be more comfortable with a ceramic than if it were DP. But the question remains.

Tom, you wanna rock n roll on this one? I'll tell you what cause thermal shock. Uneven surface temperature surpassing the tensil strength of the glass. All things considered sound... it doesn't matter how hot the surface gets as long as it is distributed evenly.
