I don't know why everybody is so afraid of laminated glass. As long as you don't overheat it or tap it on any edge, you should be fine. If you ever notice than whenever you get a rock chip on your windshield, usually the ones that split the glass are within 2-3" from the edge. The ones that hit towards the middle just creates a star.

I do plenty of it, tons of Volvo's...I prefer it over tempered, like the way the film goes on. I agree with LS, no big deal.

lami is fine, like lit and OT said. just don't heat in one spot trying to get a finger to go down. if you heat it too much, you will create a flowering effect with the plastic.
