03 Intrepid - The guy down the street with compucut and now fully 3M after his vast 1 and a half year sticking pre cuts on tells one of my customers LLumar's warranties are no good - they are bankrupt.

Now , to top it all off these folks knew nothing of tinting until they attended Metints class at CP.

If this were just their opinion it would be one thing, but 3M is pushing their dealers to stress this point to potential customers. They say use the line the "warranty is only as good as the company behind it."

Pretty sad to resort to such low methods to gain sales.

CP has always been one of the the easiest to get along regarding warranty claims, and the 3M the hardest.

What do you bet that still doesn't change?

fock 3M. if they had the only film there was, I'd quit tinting.

:gay :lol

I have spoke before about a 35,000sf job I landed in '95 down in Naples, Florida... the one where I bid against a number letter company on a condo high rise.

Well, I see the tactics haven't changed... the contractor told metint how the other bidder had sent letters to all the condo owners (not the contractor, though) informing them of some loophole in the Vista warranty I (& CPF) offered... dirty pool... Contractor was a big fan of this same number letter company up until that occurred... sour grapes from there on out. :shock

Turns out the folks at CPF gladly and graciously wrote a letter for metint and sent it to the condo association and the contractor apologetically filling in a simple warranty typo-omission, which was supposed to be in the warranty at its printing.

Yeah and even then I'm not impressed one iota with some of them out there.

As long as we remember just one thing.....they'll go hammer and tongs to get your sale and flog that roll out the door but the moment that failed crap comes back like an exocet boomerang tint missile, they don't want to know about it.

Moths fly out of one notorious individual's wallett when it comes to this. Right Captaintinter? :shock

Lots of money made over the years, removing and replacing the competition's failed products. Name brand recognition doesn't translate to quality.
