im following a tutorial thing and the last step here is super vuage. dosnt help my roommate insisted on getting the most complicated router iv ever seen. it has like 3,657 options for setup.

iv got the server ip. and it says I need to make it static but no idea how to

got port forwarding done, server set with a static ip. but I dont know how to get to it outside of my own network

You have to give the domain name registrar (Modify Nameservers DNS) the new location. It will look something like NS8.IPGLINK.COM or whatever you have set up
