Guest wetboyz Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Ok I stumbled upon this forum and I really am glad I did. But now my eyes are bleeding and my head is going to explode. I have gone to several places and yes the one that said 79.00 tint that is now pushing their BlackMax ceramic, the one in the white building on the SW freeway. All say each others product is cheap and theirs is best. . I have not gone to the formula1 guy. I know picking one out is like picking our your favorite conceal weapon and its personal choice -- to some extent. So here goes the questions Goals: 1. pro install job 2. Lifetime warranty 3. location is in Texas and in Del Rio area, etc Sand heat humidity. 4. Fair and honest price 5. State Legal in most surrounding states.. car will probably never be titled outside Texas despite moving. Car: 2010 Jewel Tint Camaro- keeping it forever. So: What is this BlackMax Ceramic.. it does appear to do a good job with heat but it appears to be a high priced proprietary product. Yes - No? Does anyone know anything about it? Does 3m Really get yellow over time? Is Formula One the best? What direction- guidance appreciated. I would like to hear from people that are happy and dont feel gouged. I would appreciate not being flamed as I'm on fire already. Thanks.

TintJunkie Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I dont know what BlackMax ceramic is, or who makes it rather. If it was $79 though, you prob dont want it. We arent allowed to discuss pricing on the open forum, but you can contact me at troy@cypresswindowtinting.com. We are located on the NW side of Houston. We only carry Madico and Wincos window films. If you would like a quote you can email me or call me direct @ 281-610-9077. Our website link is below. We are primarily a commercial/residential tinting company but still do automotive.
Pyramids Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Run away from anyone tinting for that price, its crap for sure. Especially if you care about your new car? Let em cut a back glass them your out 800 bucks to replace it.
Guest wetboyz Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Let me clarify to those helping so far. I am NOT getting the 70.00 job. Trust me. .. I know I will expect to hand over some Benjiman's. The BlackMax Ceramic is almost 5 bones and that seems really high. Although the radiant lamp heat was low.
tint123 Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 Just be patient, there will be enough folks here to help you out with what you should be happy with......

(Have them show you MFG written statement) -Is it dye free? (Have them show you MFG written statement) -What are the specs? (TSER, VLR, UVR) -What is the warranty? -Where is it made, who is the MFG? -Then start asking to see finished cars... look them over real carefully, finished work tells all...
