Hi all,

I have been trying to get my dot matrix on the top rear window of an e92 m3 sorted for sometime now and I have found it difficult to find a workshop that seem to know how to get around this issue.

I live in south west London and willing to travel to a certain extent to get this issue solved asap. I already have a tint installed on the back window (pentagon) and my preferred method would be with vinyl installation on the inside of the top rear window just to cover the dot matrix area.

I am also open to other tinter's professional methods.

Look forward to hearing from you, many thanks.

e92 never seems to sit as nice as the e46 did, I used to get the e46 looking pretty good with suntek carbon, sure I have a picture somewhere, e92s just don't seem to play the game, I don't think vinyl on the inside is the answer tho, hard to cut exactly to fit, and the slightest nick in a heater or antenna line while installing vinyl is £300 for a new rear screen

Smash te rear screen... Get a

factory tinted one on excess and tint

over the top of that.... Puuurrrrrfection

Thing is Scott, mines was still under warranty, but BMW just always try and find ways out of fixing your car and why its not covered by warranty !!!

Thats been me and 2 of my mates on top, got rid of our bm's all e93s as well purely because the warranty issues and they go about things !!!

I don't think you alone there Davie, I remember when my van was about 6 months old both elec window carriages needed replaced and they tried to tell me it wasn't covered by warranty, my reply was "well if its not covered I am going to drive it thru your showroom window!" they fixed it pretty soon after that! Ford is right across the road from me and they know me well enough to know that I would do it!

hi all,

appreciate all the comments, and yes I agree about bmw warranty is quite bad to be honest.

Back to the topic sorry about the lack of pic - I will get one taken asap when I can!

About glueing - a few workshop were reluctant to glue as it can be a messy job :(

Any other advice?
