safety security film for noise reduction?

I have a customer that has a ac unit ontop of the building next door.he wants to know if I have a film that will deadin the noise on his bedroom window.was thinking if I put a 12mill security film on his windows if it will kill the noise.kindoff like dynamat for a car?

To the best of my limited knowledge I don't think it would do much to help, I think the best bet would be to change the glass out to triple pane..... .

I was talking with Tinitman recently and he told me one of his customers said after the security film was installed on their home, the noise was reduced substantially.

Some years ago we installed 8mill clear for that exact reason. The bldg owner did his own research and picked the product. I did not notice a significant if any difference,but he was happy and we got paid so I was happy.

Around LA and San Diego homes under the flight path of LAX and Lindbergh were assisted if not given thicker dual pane glass to assist with noise reduction. Is there currently newer dual pane glass installed?

I know they just gutted and remodeled inside.im going to put film on inside and out,see what happens....thanks.
