Would an automotive Titanium 20 be ok to install on double hungs? I can't find the performance data for this film, but I would assume that the high metal content would reflect much of the heat, as opposed to absorbing at the rate of a regular grey hp auto film. Before you say to just order a roll of resi film, or talk the customer out of it. This is for a few windows in my house. I am also no longer in the tint business, so I am hoping I can use some left over stock and not have to buy the film to do them. Considering this film is now just going to go to waste. it would be nice if I could use it on my own double hungs..

Deterimination steve! lol.. But seriously though, I got my commercial drivers license and had a friend who got me into Coca Cola as a driver. I was just so burnt out as a tinter that it was just time to move on. I have been thinking about getting out the last 5 yrs, but this poor economy gave me the extra push to get out!

Are you guys thinking it will be a breakage issue? Because it seems to be about the same as a vista V28. Of course thats just in look, and I am aware that the properties could be much different..

Steve why does your exp say 6 yrs? You have more than that under your belt. You have closer to 12 if I remember correctly.

Dunno.. I guess I have to manually change that???

I start in '00.. so got 10 yrs under my belt. Feels like forever. :boogie

do not put automotive film on house window. That is a very bad idea! Besides you can find commercial film that looks like the titanium. Go with a neutral film and if it's double pain glass no darker then 30 %.

you can go with a suntek IDS20 and be fine on a double pane.

I dont think looks is the issue here. Just that he has some titanium film that isnt being used and wanted to see if he could use it on flat glass safely.
