Not sure if anyone else is into documentry films. I have watched a few over the years that reall made me think and changed my mind and life in ways. I watched this one last night. I really recomend everyone watch this. It has a lot to do with Biodiesel, Diesel engines, history of fuels ect. Learned a lot, like the first model T's for over a decade were ran off enthanol for 11 years, until prohibition was formed after a 11 year fight by rockefeller AKA owner of standard oil, and the year Ford gave up and converted to gas engines, Prohibition was dropped. Also the inventor of the diesel engine, Rudolph Diesel designed the engine to run on peanut oil. After a decade of pushing it, he took a cruise ship to demo it in England, and wouldnt you know it, he mysteriously vanished, found dead floating in the water days later. Standard Oil came out with Deisel Fuel , petro based, Just a short few years later.

Deff worth a watch. Fuel Documentary

If your into stuff like this, I would recomend Zeitgeist choose the original. Once get get past the religion part the rest is worth watching.

and Loose Change- an american coup

I will try to make it a point to watch these at home. Some of this history I have seen on various shows, and also part of why I was trying to find a TDI car. I researched the whole biofuel a few years ago, and I would like to convert my house to bio mix. If I had found a TDI car, I was going to convert to a grease car system. With the long commute I have, I would hve saved a butt load of cash on fuel. It is interesting how often good technology gets stiffeled by the oil companies. I wonder if there are working generators that do not need fuel sitting in their warehouses now??

The movie states that ALL Deisel engines on the market can run Biodeisel. There was a truck stop in Texas that use to sell it to truck drivers. There are a few HERO fuels make Bio deisel. Most gas stations in europe sell it next to there gas. They even race with bio deisel. It was showing that currently, it takes one unit of energy to make a 3/4 unit of gas energy. Its silly. They were making biodeisil from algea. They were taking the same single cell organisms that created fossil fuels (millions of years) into labs and making them multiply by themselves to the point on 1000 of gallons in days. You got to watch this. Once it gets past the granola hippie stuff in the first 15 to 20 mins its mind blowing.

well the grease caar system is running straight WVO after it is strained of impurities. The system seperates and reduces the viscosity with the engines cooling system so the WVO will flow. There are means to convert the WVO into regular bio, but this would work for me. The dual system uses petro to start the car and warm it up, then switch over, then use petro to purge the WVO out of the system when you park. The WVO can be acquired from any rest. tht has a fryer depending on the quality of the oil they use but it does not stay fluid enough to run the car. It can be converted, but you need ingredients that are controlled.
