That will bake out in a year....

Another mad shameful install. The owner got ahold of me through a body shop. He took it up to a tint shop in Rochester and this was their THIRD attempt at trying to put film down on the car. This was possibly one of the worst installs I've seen yet. Flaws everywhere. Silvering and "boogers" throughout all the film. The kicker.....they told him that everything will bake out in a year!!! :beer As I was pulling the film off, more flaws and lies became noticeable. There was cut marks, scratches and scuffs in the paint from being pulled off and having the adhesive scraped so many times. It literally looked dull under the film. They screwed up his Benz emblem somehow since it was very loose. Also we found out he wasn't sold 3M like he was told he was getting, they used Venture!!! (Before they were selling another film as 3M but a rep put a stop to that. I guess it's ok to screw people by still doing it now that 3M owns Venture) What made no sense to me was he had the entire fenders covered and they just took a piece of 30in and cut it out on the hood, saying that nobody had a pattern for it. I took him over to Xpel's website and showed him there was. At this point I could tell he was getting more pissed off as I kept naming off flaws/lies so I stopped. I couldn't imaging how bad the first install was if the 3rd was this bad.

I replaced the film with Nano and an Xpel pattern that turned out great. No need to wait a year for him to forget about it...I mean bake out. It was too dark for after pics so I'll grab some when I check back with him this week.

Pics suck since it was in a dark shop, but you get the idea. Check out all the swirls they put in the film! Guy also said his car was returned absolutely filthy.

does anyone feel that this "recession" has washed out some of the trash in this line of work? I've seen a few terrible installs and that installer is no where to be found. I can't think that the company or installer who did that is still around.

more work for the good guys. Venture takes a while to master. It's not for starters

That guys has as many years as I do. Sometimes you just suck.

Not going to say the exact price, but into 4 figures.

You've got to see his buddies Porsche I have to redo..........it make this look good.
