No need for speculation. Just PM me that roll number and I will get right to the bottom of it.

I don't know which Global Distributor you might have bought that from, but I don't think they would knowingly sell you an old roll. We have some new distributors in the network and the roll numbering system is a little cryptic. I am sure can figure it out. There was already another thread on this - I helped someone with the same issue.

I am sure they will happily swap it for a fresh roll.

Y Indicates: The roll incorporates the newest color stable pigments

AD Indicates: Made in the Aurungabad facility

The roll was produced in Feb of 2008. You have an "oldie", which is the 1.2Mil version. The newer stocks are the 1.5mil you are accustomed to.

Just call your friendly local Global distributor and request a swap. I am sure they will oblige you, but if you run into any problems just email me at howard@buytint.com.

These Global films have been the most reliable, consistent and trouble free products we have ever distributed. Problems are so rare that our "marching orders" from the factory are to just get you guys taken care of without delay.

Since switching to Global a while back...I have had ZERO issues with it...accept for a few rolls that had curling issues....acted just like Llullu when you pulled the liner. :thumb But my dist. took really good care of me when that happened. :)

Thanks OneSlick.

They really do an amazing job over there.

I remember that curl issue. The film was flat as a pancake until you pulled the liner and sprayed it down. Then it curled up like a "Garcia Y Vega". They identified and eradicated the problem with the very next production run.

I worked with them and we wrote up a new curl check policy which included a "wet test" in addition to the dry test they were already doing. To their credit, I never got a single roll of curly film after that. Their technical competency is really remarkable. I can't say enough about how good they are at making film. We are so glad to have that product in our catalogs.

Howard, when something like that happens, do they scrap the master roll and any cut rolls? Sounds expensive. :tantrum
