removal on laminated rear glass

Steamer isn't cutting it on this one. Seems like the steamer is getting the window hotter in spots which can be dangerous but we have never had a problem. Dang this is the first time we have had sun out for along time so I thought about bagging it!

Cheers and thanks

have done it here in FL in temps near a hundred , no problem ! when you bag it the whole glass is the same temp ,breakage occurs when one spot gets much hotter than rest of the window or when you super heat the glass ( heat guns run from 700* - 1100* ) and the plastic between the layers expands ... :thumb

I have bagged a windshield a couple times....once with sun and once with my heat lamp set up.....

successful job both times

I figured it would be OK but wanted you guys to back me up with my installer. I usually scrape um with no defogger but he didn't want to and seems my installers always know more than me :lol2 I will update tomorrow on how it was finally done. I haven't heard about a broken window so it must have went good!

Thanks to all

Cheers

Can't wait to try "Removal Gel" :lol2
