I plan to tint a 06 Honda Accord. Georgia tint law is

Front Side Windows Must allow more than 32% of light in.

Back Side Windows Must allow more than 32% of light in.

Rear Window Must allow more than 32% of light in.

I plan to use Suntek carbon 35% for all the windows. One question I have is will it pass the tint meter test.

I heard the factory windows already have some tint on it so to calculate it you would minus 7% from the tint you want to equal the total amount of VLT there is.

If I minus then it will be 28%. I would like to know if this is true. Thanks.

your looking for Net VLT, factory tint/polorize is 70%, check with tint meter, still unsure, put a piece of 35 against the 70 and check with tint meter, meters also have a +/- of about 2%.
