I got a house job that the cust wants silver reflective on there low E glass at home. Whats the darkest silver reflective I can put on?

The big question is what surface is the low E coating on? Surface 3 is where you will find issues, surface 2 should be approved by most mfg's FTG for a Silver 20 film.

Just to clarify, surface 1 is outside pane, 2 inside of outside pane, 3 is outside of inner pane 4 is inside of inner pane.

Since its a Silver 20 which is very reflective you aren't absorbing much energy so risk is lower.

But.. as TJ said, check with your manufacturer, easy answer that covers your butt too :lol

lol..you should explain that better and I would say shadow instead of shade.. when a roof line or tree casts a shadow on the window will play a big factor also
