Hi everyone,

I'm about to purchase Stan's DVDs on autowindowtinting.com

I had a quick look through the website, but I just needed a clarification on the difference between 14 DVD set and the DVD 16.

I guess the 16th DVD is something different to the set of 14 DVDs?

Does anyone have both?

What more is in the 16th DVD? on top of the set of 14?

Any help would be appreciated!

Don't know, don't care. What I have come to know is watching videos does not answer questions as to why this or that happens or what is another approach if the one I see on video isn't working for me.

Save the cash on video learning a very specialized craft and put it toward attending hands on training, Satn's, LLumar, Johnson or otherwise.

Use a video after hands on if need be. :thumb

Edit: Best to go buy some do it yourself stuff, try it out to see if you have the knack for tinting then consider further investment into the trade. Hate to see you spend hundreds to find you are just a bull in an egg factory with tint. :lol2

I live too far away to attend any of Stans training, I think that would be first option if possible. I got DVD 16 and the trimming one, I highly recommend both, I have not seen the others though, so I don't know if there is a preferred order to buy them. I got them as a basic intro to auto tinting, from reading other posts on this forum, and for that they are excellent. I have had experience laying film in the signwriting industry, and was curious to see the differences between techniques. If you wanted to get some hand tools and some film to start playing around with, these DVD's are what you need so that you can fool the casual observer into thinking you know what you're doing. I say go for it. I'll be buying more.

Good hands on training is the way to go. I drove over 1000 miles to attend Stans class. It's worth the money and distance. :lol

. the DVD's are great.. IF you know the basic's you can build on top.. More info and learning are always benefital..You may find a different way that works for you better... don't listen to all these people here.. if you been tinting for 20 + years you don't need them... but MORE KNOWLEDGE is KING!.. Go with your gut you won't be disappointed.. any dumb A#$ can buy tint.. But you can't always buy knowledge and experience..
