Have a client that wants the tint on his Lambo front windshield removed. He just picked this car up to go along with his collection of 2 other Lambo's and 3 Ferrari's.

Is there anything I need to look out for on this car? Water going down the windscreen and etc?

My first thoughts were to put a drop cloth on the dash to catch any water/glue and keep the glue off the suede.

Thanks ya'll.

if you got a steamer, thats what I would use. Leave it in the sun for a while then start with the steamer and peel super slow. if your lucky you wont have to spray much if anything post removal. If thats the case then just a drop cloth and patience. Good luck.

Hmmm hmmmmmmm.gifdrevil.gif Steamer on laminated glass. :boogie

Well, it is tinted. The film is absorbing heat. Steamer couldnt possibly be any worse than what the film was doing.

he's in Alt. ,its hot , I'd bag it . the films no older than three years and I'd hope that who ever did a lambo shield used quility film .

how ever you do it though make sure all vents and dash are protected from water !

I say bag it also. I would stay away from the steamer around the micro suede, that stuff is finicky.

Thanks ya'll for the ideas. My initial concerns were keeping water out of the vents and the glue off the leather dash.

I will talk with the client and give him all the ideas and possible outcomes and let him make the decision. I'm still hesitant on taking the job, but he's super down to earth and it's possibly a great networking opportunity for other types of jobs (ie. residential, commercial, and auto).

....hmmmmmmmm? :boogie

With your experience being listed as "noob" I might walk away from that one... not being rude but it could get costly. Especially with the suede dash and expensive windshield to replace.

I agree 100%, hence why I was asking for a little direction. I plan on discussing this with the client and going from there. I want to see the car in person and have a look see. 14-15 years ago I did a ton of high end car audio installations for a company called HiFi Buys aka Tweeter for some. I was able to spend a good deal of time around high end interiors, but its been awhile. Thanks for your opinion. :boogie
