I am in the process of researching different training facilities in order to learn the tinting trade. Do any of you have any recommendations? Any help would be appreciated.

most everyone here would recommend getting hired at a local tint shop and doing the crap nobody else wants to do, to get started. Then learn to tint hands on with a "real world" tinter in a "real world" environment. Training schools usually do not use cars that are driven every day. They use doors and windows that stay in the "classroom".

a training school should do just that train you to tint. not show you how to tint.

use real world cars train you how to wet shrink and dry shrink and use the three methods to shrink. powder, dryer sheets and sizzer spray.

a good school will be 2 weeks and then you your on your own, so pay attention!

School of hard knocks will get you there...

Training, also available at 800-447-8468 (west coast) or 800-851-7781 (east coast), will give you enough exposure to be dangerous and the ability to determine whether or not you truly want to continue. :lol6

There is only one good tint shop here in town, the other shop does cheap crap jobs. The good shop only has one installer and he doesn't hire in order to keep business. So I am going to have to rely on a training facility.
