Wired glass

We have a school with 1300 sq ft of single pane annealed wired glass that they want done..We got the job, told the custy that the manu's don't recommend tinting wired glass and we're concerned of possible glass breakage but if we don't take the job another company said they would do it..They don't care for the windows to be too dark just want to block heat and some glare, think something like silver 35 would be ok to use?? Biggest windows are around 20 sq ft..

strong against breaking through, but what about thermal shock?

I remember being told that the wire makes for un-even heat and also rough edges.

Should be okay with Silver 35, I've done SW windows with Silver 20 with no issue after 5-6 years.

I suspect you will see some break though. That's a bit much is sq footsies. :lol

Better off put an exterior film on. :lol

Exterior film reduces the chances of breakage?

The heat is reflected and/or absorbed before it sees the wires.

So the wires expand inside the glass and cause it to break?
