Just finished a job with LLumar 7 mil. I used 5 drops, and two caps full rubbing alcohol to one standard spray bottle. It worked great . did a good amount of windows in direct sunlight as well. I just soaked the window and soaked the film. Too much solution is a major problem with champaigning and such. If you can, and you have some large window, get some help. If you prep the glass well, you can soak the hell out of the film and the glass, and you should have 0 problems. I do agree with the manufacturers though, the less solution the better under most circumstances. Ohh, one more thing. The Llumar adhesive is very nice. I think less aggresive than some of the other manufacturers security films I have worked with in the past. Good luck !!!

Well I'm a little late to this one but in terms of Film On, LLumar's SSF Installation Training Guide indicates you need use twice the norm of 3-5 pumps (or 8 ml) /qt.

Edit: Of course this might be for fair weather conditions, TX summer might call for upwards of 10-12. :cool
