hello,

I was just wondering after wasting a piece of tint on a window due to little fibers.... ive painted a few cars before and ive always used a tack cloth to remove any "dirt or fibers" from the metal before painting? anyone ever do that for window tinting or does everyone just do the razorblade and squeegy routine?

tia,

Never liked to rub a sticky tack cloth on clean glass because sometimes it leaves behind some streaks of adhesive.

I usually spray the window with cleaner and use a surgical cloth (lint free) to wipe it down inside and out. Sometimes I spray soap water and scrub it with a white scrub pad and then squeegee the dirty solution away.

another painters trick....mask the felt seals off, so the fibers cant get under your tint. peel the masking tape off after your through with the window. it does a real good job of blocking the felt and dirt from getting under your film.

scrape and squeegee.

Scrape a back glass? Scrub pad for me wipe it down real good and then squeeegee it at least twice... Takes care of the dust.. Never had a problem on back glass for dirt the only time was out of my own negligence when trying to sling a piece that was too big for my experience and it hit the ceiling.... :rollin
