I keep having fingers at the bottom on side windows.

and these won't go away easily.

Even if I use a hair dryer to heat it up and squegee it down, it will keep popping back up.

If I spend 30-40mintues on the windows, they do seem to go away,

but I get customers coming back with fingers at the bottom of the windows.

I know that people heat shrink the side windows to make it fit perfectly,

but I don't seem to be able to heat shrink any film at the moment.

Heat shrinking just doesn't work for me, I am a newbie and am not skilled enough to shrink any film.

Any tips on having no fingers at the bottom without heat shrinking?

If I must shrink the side windows, any tips on how to shrink it?

Should I shrink it after trimming it all, just before I apply the tint?

The easiest way to start out it going to be shrinking it on the outside of the glass. Get your film all cut out then with the window rolled up place the film on the glass with the bottom just above the rubber gasket. then card the film down bringing all the fingers to the bottom, then shrink the fingers down one by one. Its cake and tint will never be the same again for ya. You can snap shrink it on your peel board but for a beginner this will be the best way to start out. :rollin

you cant use a hair dryer, it doesnt get hot enough. Try and get a wagner heat gun at walmart, there 20-30 bux. Wet shrink on the outside. Then when your laying the window, work in straight lines. first strainght lines across the top, not following the curve, then from the center go strainght down. then stretch and hold your corner, take film out to the side, repeat on other side. Your goal is not to buckle the film up at the bottom. If your not working in straight lines, as a newbie, this will happen. Hope this helps.

I tried heat shrinking just now, and I failed miserably.

I use a Bosch Heat gun, with the LCD display on which you can select the temperature.

What is a good temperature for heat shrinking?

I tried 250 c, and 300 c, but doesn't seem to shrink all that well.

What degree celcius should I be heat shrinking??

Turn it on high and go to town. If you're heating up the fingers, look for it to start making a squiggly line. At that point, its shrunk. If you hit it to much, you'll burn it, but don't be afraid to burn it. Just don't heat up the next finger that much. Gotta pay attention to what you're doing.
