Not really, but it sure tells a thief there's a GPS or radar detector in the car. :bs

By the way, where do you live? :bs

The reason that I am going to put the radar detector on the tint is so that when you look at the car you can't see it unless you look in the side window and up at the eyebrow and I won't leave it there when I'm not in the car. I live in Delaware?

Over time it will leave a mark. I have seen those static cling oil change sticker-things leave a mark after a while. I'm sure a suction cup will also over time. twocents.gif

I have an SPAM radar detector in my Evo 'shop car' and it's sucked up to the lower center portion of the windshield where the glass is clear. I would think that placing the device behind the tint might lower it's sensitivity to the point where it may not work as intended, especially with a metallized tint.

I was thinking that also but the tint that I have is not metalized and from the other stuff that I have read it really doesn't affect the sensitivity.

I`ve seen them pull a perfect little circle where they were left for several years. I usually don`t recommend doing it.
