Hey guys, I'm really pushing doing my own buisness as of now. I have only two accounts but no shop and no help. I would really appreciate any and all help and advice to get this thing up and running right. the first couple of weeks went fairly well but the last two have been just dead. I'm really trying not to get to down on myself yet but it's summer now, if I can't get the work now should I expect different later?

Be creative!! Also, join and go to every social event/club around that you can find. Meet people and market. Business will come, but you have to go look for it at first...

The best advice I can give is dont get into debt trying to get started.

Our business is absolutely debt free, all the way down to our company vehicles. Everything is paid with cash or company debit card.

I did the same by breaking out on my own and can tell you it took a year and a half plus a part time job to get where I could see a return on my efforts.

Gotta hang in there any way you can if it is what you want for yourself. thumb.gif

I started in jan, I did my car first then added some signs to it, got a massive bussiness card and went to meets, events, ect parked up and put out my signs and business cards and watched the work roll in. Also fliers posted through doors one street a month. Works well for me.

cost me

£100 business cards

£40 per 100 flyers

£30 back window advert

£20 side skirts

£30 Blow up business card

All of this lay out was mostly paid for by tint jobs too!

on every 50 flyers I usually get a job, if I am clever on the estates that I choose to letter drop.

boy racer meetings are the best ones to go to.

My wife and her Aunt opened a flower shop recently and so far they have made it without taking on debt. It is not easy but they say with the economy the way it is, if you can make it through, it is a good time to start.
