Anyone have hand problems?

I was doing a commercial job the other day and my left hand, card holding hand, locked in place. I had to pry my fingers open with my other hand. Has anyone ever had this happen or know what the heck was going on with it. It happened 3 times during the job but hasn't happened since. :twocents

Yup has happened to me. Be careful pulling things back straight. Couple years ago I did that with my thumb and tore muscles in my arm that took forever to heal. Drink lot's of water :twocents

It was a long day. Now that I think back, I didn't drink anything except at lunch. I'll keep that in mind next time. :twocents

Had it happen three weeks ago while laying 7mil film. I was reverse rolling film and my thumb locked up on me...painful as heck. Tried pulling my thumb straight and it went right back to looking like a retard. Happened three times and finally stopped. My installer thought I cut myself, as I was bent over trying to straighten my thumb. It was bad, and really really hurt.

Hope I never have 'tard thumb again.

Might sound crazy and you might look silly but before you start installing stretch your hands by pulling back on your fingers and then clinching them into a fist. Rotate your thumbs as well. Do this for about 5 minutes regularly before you start installing and you will not get the muscular and tendon cramps. Rehab Dr recommended it and it works. :thumb

Happened to me last summer (?) with 7 mil window film too... freaked me out when it happened. It cramped up a couple times during the install.... been fine ever since.
