as you may or may not know im only just starting out in the tint world but im planning on doing it right ..... or lets hope so atleast!

anyway...

from an experienced point of view which is the best product to use and which are the best quality of tools??

I realise will have been asked a million and one times but im wanting to do things right from the start in the industry and want to have a good name from the start off.

I know that most of it comes from years of experience and that will come with time but I like to get what I pay for in everything.

so if you could tell me your experience with certain products that you have used be it good or bad points

ive got three suppliers telling me that there product is better than their competitors already

im based in middlesbrough and will be opening a place in this area so if your local(ish) to me I dont expect you to give me any info as I will end up being your comptitor in the long run

thanks for taking the time reading this and hopefully I will make some good freinds in the business

regards and best wishes

hi lee

Where are you at with hands on tinting at the moment? Have you handled film? tinted any cars as yet? Not sure if this is mentioned in other posts but would be good to know where you are 'on the ladder'

as you want to get "a good name from the start" you will need to work out when the "start is"

what if your new unit with new tint/tools is ready by say next month and your first booking is a micra! what do you do?

tough questions but its a tough career choice if you want to be doing it correctly and not as a hack ...

im looking for a unit as we speak but even if I got it tomorow it wouldnt be ready for a while anyway....first thing im doing is kitting it out with everything I need to make the job as easy as possible plus I also want the airbrush lad in who ive used alot in the past to put some nice "funky" but tastefull iamges on the walls

my plan is to be ready in 6 months time if I find im not confident enough to a certain car I plan have someone at hand who I can call on.....thats the plan anyway but we'll just see how it pans out ive got about 18 - 20 cars to do when ive completed the course ranging from a range rover p38 to a pug 106 so hopefully ill get abit of experience from these....I could always pop on here if im stuck...................CANT I?????

really looking forward to the challenge to be honest I like to do things that have an outcome I can be happy with.....if ya know what I mean

I work offshore at the moment but im finding it a chore every time I have to go back.....north sea.....crap!!!!

anyway thanks for the input uoto now hope I get more...alot more!

cheers

Ok, practice for 2 years and then come back...you wont be anybody's competition for a long time yet.

You'll just be competing with yourself - with stress and with annoyance that you cant get the job done!
