Lee - charcoal is a typically a dyed film , literally has a dye put into it, typically colour stable for about 3-5 years. This layer can be on a standard thickness polyester like our Graphite Pro. Shrinks easily, adheres to dot matrix well. The you can have Charcoal on a thicker gauge polyester film or what we call Graphite Pro Plus. This makes handling easier especially in those tight rear windows. Still dyed and will be colour stable for 3-5 years.

Moving to Carbon or what we call Graphite Magma is the similar thickness to the Graphite Pro Plus but it is not dyed but gets its looks from colour stable particles that keep the colour long after the adhesive gives up. Has a rich darker black appearance more like factory glass. Harder for some to shrink at first but once mastered gives a ultimate finish. The premier league of window film. Worth mastering and usually comes with lifetime warranty.

Both these films contain no metal so wont interfere with car electronics like sat nav etc

Hope this helps Lee...Keep in touch mate
