That's cute about your nephew...That looks alot like my place right now. White and frosty cold... You know what we do around here.? Get some maple syrup and pour it on clean fresh white snow wait a few mins till it hardens and it makes like a toffee... Now that is a treat. Haven't had that in years. Might do that with my bambinos this year.... :rollin

:thumb:rollin:thumb My nephew was born here, but when he was only 3 month old (1990) his mother - my cousin go to Israel - so he never seen snow... When he come here first time he was 3 years old - and saw snow... He fulfill all his pockets, all my aunt pockets and start to eat it :hmmm:thumb:hmmm Was very funny... He simply don't know what is it... Snow in Israel - very rare situation...

I've never heard the syrup on snow thing either :rollin I guess it snows so rarely here that we don't get time to get that inventive with it before it melts

It's a tradition actually on St Catherine's day(November 25th ) syrup shacks set up an area with clean snow and pour syrup on it... it hardens into taffy from the icy snow and is quite good. It is especially a Quebec tradition ( where I was born) . I tried to find a webpage explaing the taffy idea and couldn't find one...

Sometimes they replace the Maple syrup with molasses...

Tint Wizard would probably know this too being from canada too... :DD
