removing pinstripes/ tinting shops

hey,

I want to take the pinstipes off of my car, they arent painted on so I figure it shouldnt be too hard, but I want to do it the right way, so if anyone knows please tell me..

also im new around here and I was wondering if anyone knew and good places to take your car to get tinting and or graphic designs in the charleston area..

This may not be the "right way", but I've done it several times and this works well, heat them up a bit with a heat gun and peel and scrape them off with a bondo card, then clean up the residue with rubbing alcohol.

There are alot of people who do this for a living here, so I'm sure you'll get some better suggestions soon :)

be carefull with the heat gun though, just get them warm, don't cook them, or burn the paint or anything like that, use common sense, start slowly and see what works.

I think there's a tinter working in the charleston area. check the shop locator (I think the name is germany)
